New Bangalore gets together for better infrastructure

December 30, 2013

Residents in and around the Mahadevapura assembly constituency have for long been facing major issues due to badly planned roads. Bad traffic jams, fatal accidents and pothole ridden roads were becoming a normal part of their lives, despite their constant efforts to get better road facilities.

With the population increasing multi-fold, owing to the area being home to the largest IT hub in the country, basic amenities are hard to come by for residents; good roads being one of them.

The death of a 3-year-old on one of these bad roads on December 4, 2013 drove residents from four communities onto the road. They protested against the apathy of the civic authorities who have for long neglected the pathetic condition of the roads in this area.
