'13 out of 20 most polluted cities in India'

As India launches air quality index to check air pollution in urban spaces, shocking facts about the country's environment are exposed in the Environmental Performance Index, a comprehensive report brought out by Yale and Columbia universities. Unfortunately, India ranks 155 out of 178 countries evaluated. Moreover, the World Health Organisation has said Delhi is the most polluted city in the world with dangerous PM2.5 levels -- 10 times the upper recommended limit, and goes on to say 13 out of the 20 most polluted cities in the world are in India.
