'Santa Bow Wow' and 'Santa Plog Run' spread Christmas cheer in their own unique ways

  • The 2019 edition of ‘Santa Bow Wow’ highlighted the need to adopt indie dogs and to stop animal cruelty.

  • A special event ‘Kids and Dogs’ was held. This aimed to teach children to be caring towards animals.

  • Santa Bow Wow was organized by The CJ Memorial Trust and hosted on I Change My City volunteering App.

  • The event had carol singing, games and lot of fun activities involving the strays.

  • Fashion Guru Prasad Bidapa conducted a fashion show where models walked the ramp with rescued and adopted dogs.

  • Santa Plog Run was led by Nagaraj known as Bengaluru's plogman.

  • The participants picked trash while they jogged.

  • The event was held at Village Story in Agrahara and hosted on I Change My City volunteering App.

  • After the plog, all participants received a treat served on eco-friendly cutlery.

Bengalureans celebrated Christmas in a meaningful way. On December 22, two separate events that were hosted on the I Change My City volunteering platform, not only spread Christmas cheer but also the true meaning of Christmas. ‘Santa Bow Wow’ at Cubbon Park made Christmas truly special for strays.


Kids as well as adults spent time with ‘Parkies’ the stray dogs at Cubbon Park and also gave them treats.Meanwhile, ‘Santa Plogrun’ held at Village Story in Agrahara had participants picking up trash while they jogged. Through this eco-conscious fitness activity, the participants created awareness on celebrating the Christmas and New Year festivities in an eco-friendly manner.
